Continental Clothing can offer you use of our extensive selection of stock fabrics that are immediately available for your bespoke manufacture.

Low Minimums

The minimum total order quantity is 1,000 pieces per style, and color. You can divide the size quota up among the overall unit production of 1,000 pieces, with a minimum overall quantity of 1,000 pieces. Each size must be of at least 150 pieces. We cannot offer lower than 1,000 overall pieces, and we cannot produce less than 150 of a size. If you cannot meet the 1,000 minimum we advise ordering from our stock collections and customizing the garments as required.

Rapid Manufacturing

We can offer you rapid manufacturing in our stock fabrics and stock colors, or in Pantone® colors to your specification*. Your order would be ready to freight within 21 - 28 working days after you submit partial payment and confirm your order, depending on complexity.

Transit Times

Ocean: around 3 weeks for full container loads (including clearance) using our ocean service. The vessel leaves once a week for New York; product is then dispatched from our distribution center in New Jersey. Ocean and truck freighting costs are included in the garment price you are quoted.

Air: around 5 days (including clearance) using our air service to Los Angeles. We consolidate our weekly orders and fly them out to New York for distribution. We can also arrange delivery to the nearest airport to you, or to your door. We use freight forwarding with Turkish Air, Lufthansa and TNT.

For airfreight: expect to pay around 80c per garment to the East Coast, 90c per garment to the West Coast depending on quantity and service required.

Delivery To Our European Distribution Centers

If you have distribution in the UK or Europe, we can send all or part of your order(s) to our warehouses in London and Berlin. Freighting by our trucks is free! There is a truck to the UK every week, and a truck to Berlin every 1-2 weeks.

Garment Costs

All bespoke manufacture jobs are quoted individually, however garments that are made from our existing patterns cost around the same as our regular published price list, plus around 15c per garment. All other bespoke garment quotes available at pre-sample stage.

If you require us to create a sample for you in advance of your order, the charge is $150 per color, per size. Includes up to 4 garments per set. $100 of your sampling charge will be deducted from your first custom manufacturing order. If the sample is from your own technical spec, there is an additional $50 charge to create your pattern. Any delivery costs incurred to and from the factory in Turkey are charged out at cost. TNT charges approx $50 generally for a set, and delivery is around 7-14 days door-to-door from day the sample order is submitted. If you would like us to copy an existing sample, we charge at cost for the TNT charge for freight to the factory.

We can manufacture your labels from artwork, and insert during production into neck seam, side seam or elsewhere. *Labels with be supplied and inserted free of charge of orders of over 3,000 pcs.

Custom Colors

Lab-dips are charged at $25 per set, plus delivery from Turkish factory (charged back at cost). Turnaround is 5 days plus delivery. Pantone® color must be provided. Minimum dye lot is 200 kilos. This represents around 700 women's T-shirts in size M or 600 men's T-shirts in size L. Custom fabric - approximately 1,000 garments. Allow one to two weeks extra depending on complexity. Sample fabric runs are approx $600 - $1,200 and the fee is not charged if the fabric is used.

Additional Service

• Screen printing at source - 'panel printing' before garment assembly is a particular speciality but all types of screen printing techniques are available;
• Embroidery - 18-head embroidery machines are used;
• Applique - both knitted and woven fabrics, with fabrics layers and distressed effects are offered;
• Kimball and swing tagging - including the production/printing of the kimballs and hangtags;
• Bagging and barcode labelling - including printing on polybags and production of barcodes.
• Label insertion - inserted into the neck or side seam at 15c.
• Photographic quality woven labels and swing tags - prices available on receipt of art specification.

How To Use The Service

Our production team will guide you through the production process, to help you create the garments you require, quickly and easily.

Step 1. Customer fills in a Custom Manufacturing Application Form which gives us an indication of the garment(s) needed, in which fabrics and colors, and turn-times required. This is sent to our Custom Manufacturing department in our London office for approval. Our London counterparts may contact the customer directly to help qualify the request.

Step 2. On approval, the Customer will be required to send further construction details in order to get an accurate quote. We may require a pattern, drawing or sample to duplicate, with instructions, sizes, quantities, and the label & print artwork if required.

Step 3. We will then offer a quote for each individual item and for the full job, and an indication of lead-time. If accepted by the customer, we will then prepare samples, and lab-dips if required.

Step 4. Customer approves and/or gives comments on all of the above. If necessary sampling will continue until customer approval. Production lead-time will then begin on receipt of written purchase order and payment.

Step 5. Customer order immediately goes into production and is delivered as agreed according to freight method chosen and lead-time given.
